Frequently Asked Questions
When do I move up a tier?
Tier upgrades are automatic. Once you meet all the requirements for the next tier, your status is upgraded within 24-48 hours. You will receive an email notification when you advance.
What happens if my rating drops?
Your tier is based on your overall track record. A single negative review will not immediately affect your tier. However, if your average rating drops below the tier threshold over time, you may be moved to a lower tier.
How is the commission calculated?
Commission is calculated on the total project value. For example, if you complete a $1,000 project at the Established tier (15% commission), you receive $850 and BookAuth receives $150.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees. The commission rate is the only fee we charge. There are no listing fees, monthly fees, or payment processing fees deducted from your earnings.
When do I get paid?
Payments are processed weekly. Once an author approves your work, funds are released to your account and included in the next weekly payout cycle (every Tuesday).
