Subscribing to Author Newsletters

How to subscribe to author newsletters on BookAuth, manage your subscriptions, and unsubscribe from lists you no longer want.

Updated April 10, 20261 views

Author newsletters deliver exclusive content, new release announcements, and special offers directly to your email inbox.

Subscribing

You can subscribe to an author's newsletter from:

  • Author profile page — click "Subscribe" or "Join Newsletter"
  • Author website — newsletter signup form
  • Book pages — "Follow & Subscribe" option
  • ARC campaigns — optional subscription during ARC application

What You'll Receive

Every author's newsletter is different, but common content includes:

  • New book announcements
  • ARC campaign invitations
  • Behind-the-scenes updates
  • Exclusive discounts and deals
  • Personal stories and reader Q&A

Managing Subscriptions

Navigate to Settings > Subscriptions to see all newsletters you're subscribed to:

  • View each author's name and subscription date
  • Click "Unsubscribe" next to any author to stop receiving their emails

Unsubscribing

Two ways to unsubscribe:

  1. From the email — click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any newsletter
  2. From BookAuth — Settings > Subscriptions > Unsubscribe

Unsubscribing is immediate and permanent — you won't receive further emails from that author unless you resubscribe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is subscribing the same as following?
A: No. Following triggers on-platform notifications. Subscribing delivers emails to your inbox. They're separate systems.

Q: Can authors see my email address?
A: Authors see your name (and email for direct communication). They cannot export or share your email without your consent.

Q: How do I report spam?
A: If you believe an author is sending inappropriate content, use the "Report" link in the email footer or contact BookAuth support.
