BookAuth includes an AI-powered assistant that can answer questions about the platform, help you find relevant articles, and provide personalized recommendations.
Accessing the AI Assistant
Click the chat icon (💬) in the bottom-right corner of any BookAuth page. The AI assistant opens as a slide-out panel.

How the AI Works
The AI assistant uses RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) to answer your questions:
- Your question is analyzed — the AI understands what you're asking
- Relevant articles are retrieved — from our knowledge base of 100+ articles
- An answer is generated — combining the retrieved information with the AI's understanding
- Sources are cited — you can click through to the full articles for more detail
This means the AI's answers are grounded in BookAuth's actual documentation, not made-up information.
Tips for Great Results
- Be specific — "How do I set up a welcome email sequence?" works better than "email help"
- Include context — "As an author, how do I..." helps the AI target the right role
- Ask follow-ups — have a conversation to drill deeper into a topic
- Try different phrasings — if the first attempt doesn't give you what you need
Limitations
- The AI cannot make changes to your account or perform actions on your behalf
- It can't access your personal data (books, subscribers, revenue)
- Very new features may not be in the knowledge base yet
- Complex or unique issues should be escalated to human support
