Alexander McCall Smith

Alexander McCall Smith, known as 'Sandy', is a distinguished author and former professor of Medical Law with a prolific writing career that spans over 100 books. Best recognized for his beloved series, The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, he has also created the 44 Scotland Street novels and the Isabel Dalhousie series, among others. His works have reached a global audience, being translated into forty-six languages, and he has written extensively for children, contributing to more than thirty titles in that genre.
